The brothers have learned this, respected in all time craft, that requires a lot of mastery in handicraft, from their father, who had learned it from his father. The craft, passed from generation to generation, was in pre-war times started by grandfather Vincas. Having started from treshing-floor clay furnaces, he gradually refined features in building them of other materials and modifications. In many places in Lithuania they remained till present times.

The father of Valdas ir Rimas has not only built furnaces for heating and making food for country people, but also various fireplaces in houses, bath-houses and other representational apartments.

It has been more than 10 year that brothers continue the work started by their father and grandfather, though baring in mind the dynamically changing tendencies and modern technologies, project and build modern fireplace with air heating systems, as well as restore and remake the existing ones.

Furnaces built by Valdas and Rimas are used by many Lithuanian dwellers, the heat from furnaces built by them is being enjoyed by not only Vilnius citizens, but also foreign residents living in the capital.

On 13 of June 1997 brothers Rimas and Valdas Jatkauskai found individual company, were several hired labors had already worked. New technologies, building and decoration materials were started to be used. Furnace building has grown into modern fireplaces and air heating systems mounting. With business prospering, brother made up several separate brigades to provide services.

To improve the quality of services, company owners have been to Norway and Sweden for probation period, were the learned new technical stuff. There are close bridges for partnership built to Norway, that are still solid. It has been 3 years that we collaborate with companies providing building services from that country. Many workers are sent there for probation period. We also receive many orders from other countries.   

  We assign a lot of means for commercial purposes. Reports were made on television during TV programs, articles were placed in countries daily newspapers.

In December 2002 brothers made up separate brigades and joined their capitals, individual company they reorganized into close corporation "Židinių meistrai".
